About the Role Our client, a prominent player in the Energy sector, is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join their fully remote, forward-thinking team. This role is central to designing and implementing innovative cloud-based solutions that power the next generation of energy technologies and operations. You will define the technical vision for our cloud strategy, ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective, enabling the company to lead in the transition to sustainable energy. Key Responsibilities Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, tailored for the energy industry. Develop comprehensive cloud strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures. Lead the technical design and implementation of cloud migrations and new cloud-native applications. Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and product managers to understand requirements and propose optimal cloud solutions. Define best practices for cloud security, governance, and cost management. Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance our energy operations. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams. Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and implementation plans. Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide timely resolutions. Stay informed about industry trends,



emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and the energy sector. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and solutions design. Deep expertise in at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their core services (compute, storage, networking, databases, security). Proven experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-scale cloud solutions. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Ia C) tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation). Excellent understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Familiarity with the energy sector's specific technical challenges and opportunities is a significant advantage. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote setting.
