About the Role

Our client, a prominent healthcare provider located in the scenic city of Acapulco , Guerrero, is actively seeking a highly competent and experienced Chief Pharmacy Shift Pharmacist. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless and safe operation of our pharmacy services, particularly during peak operational hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy activities during their assigned shift, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. This position demands exceptional leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a profound understanding of pharmaceutical best practices. You will play a critical role in leading a team of dedicated pharmacy professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient service in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage pharmacy operations during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to all established protocols and standards.
- Oversee the accurate and timely dispensing of medications, including verification of prescriptions and proper labeling.
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of medications and supplies while minimizing waste and expired products.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services and patient counseling as needed, offering expert advice on medication therapy.
- Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and critical situations,



maintaining composure and ensuring patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.
- Perform quality assurance checks and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize pharmacy services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all pharmacy transactions and activities.

Requirements

- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Current and active pharmacy license in Guerrero , MX.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Proven experience in hospital or retail pharmacy management, preferably in a shift lead role.
- Demonstrated expertise in medication dispensing, pharmacotherapy, and drug information.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in pharmacy practice.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and electronic health records.
- Ability to work versátil hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by shift schedules.
