About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and community-oriented Trabajador Social to focus on public health and prevention initiatives in Hermosillo, Sonora . This role is critical in promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing disease, and connecting community members with vital health services. The social worker will conduct outreach, provide health education, and facilitate access to care, particularly for underserved populations. This position requires a strong on-site presence to engage directly with individuals and communities throughout the Hermosillo region. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement community-based health education programs.
- Conduct health needs assessments and identify at-risk populations.
- Facilitate access to healthcare services, including preventative screenings and vaccinations.
- Provide counseling and support on health-related issues such as nutrition, chronic disease management, and mental wellness.
- Collaborate with local clinics, hospitals, and public health agencies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of public health principles and disease prevention strategies.
- Experience in conducting health education and counseling.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and community partners.
- Familiarity with the healthcare system and public health resources in Hermosillo, Sonora .
- Proficiency in Spanish is required.
- Experience in data collection and reporting is a plus.
