About the Role

Our client, an innovative art studio and fabrication facility located in Mexicali, Baja California, MX , is actively seeking a talented and versatile Escultor y Artista Tridimensional . This role is for an individual with a strong artistic vision and exceptional technical skills in various sculptural mediums, including metalworking, woodworking, casting, and mixed media. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing their own body of work, as well as collaborating on client projects and contributing to the studio's artistic output. This position demands a high level of craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep understanding of form, space, and material properties. We are looking for an artist who can translate conceptual ideas into tangible, impactful three-dimensional works within a dynamic studio environment in Mexicali, Baja California, MX .

Key Responsibilities

- Conceptualize, design, and execute original sculptural artworks using a range of materials and techniques.
- Operate and maintain studio equipment safely, including welding machines, woodworking tools, casting equipment, and CNC machines (if applicable).
- Collaborate with other artists, designers, and fabricators on commissioned projects and installations.
- Manage studio space, materials inventory, and project timelines effectively.
- Contribute to the technical problem-solving aspects of complex sculptural projects.
- Assist with the installation and de-installation of sculptural works as needed.
- Stay informed about contemporary sculptural practices and emerging technologies in art fabrication.
- Prepare proposals and documentation for potential projects and exhibitions.




- Maintain a high standard of quality and artistic integrity in all executed works.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Sculpture or a related studio art discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a practicing sculptor with a demonstrable portfolio of three-dimensional work.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following areas: metal fabrication (welding, casting), woodworking, stone carving, mold making, or mixed-media construction.
- Experience with digital fabrication tools (e.g., 3D printing, CNC routing) is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of material properties, structural integrity, and aesthetic principles in sculpture.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to adapt to various project demands and studio needs.
- Must be able to work full-time on-site in Mexicali, Baja California, MX .
