About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking a dedicated Legal Advisor specializing in Regulatory Compliance to join their legal team. This role is based on-site in Guadalajara, Jalisco , and requires a professional committed to ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. You will be responsible for interpreting complex regulatory requirements, developing compliance strategies, and overseeing the implementation of compliance programs across the organization. The idóneo candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and relevant industry regulations. You will work closely with various departments to identify compliance gaps, conduct audits, and provide training. Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance policies and procedures.
- Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and authorities as required.




- Draft and update internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Advise management on legal and regulatory risks and mitigation strategies.

- Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities.

Requirements

- Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related legal field.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations.
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Strong understanding of audit procedures and best practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High ethical standards and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and compliance management software is a plus.
