About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex network infrastructure issues across a general footprint.
- Develop and implement proactive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure network stability.
- Manage the configuration, installation, and upgrades of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
- Analyze network performance data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with network operations and engineering teams to implement network changes and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Respond to network alerts and incidents, providing timely and effective resolution.




- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network infrastructure.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network infrastructure maintenance and support.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, and network security principles.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, ping, traceroute) and network monitoring systems.
- Experience with cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure) is a significant plus.
- Strong understanding of IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
