About the Role

Our client, a major logistics and distribution hub in Mexicali, Baja California , is seeking a proactive and organized Supervisor of Cleaning and Preventive Maintenance. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the facility by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and coordinating routine preventive maintenance tasks that support hygiene. The Supervisor will lead a dedicated team, manage schedules, oversee the proper use of cleaning and maintenance equipment, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and direct the daily activities of cleaning and general maintenance staff.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and preventive maintenance plans for facility equipment and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify cleaning needs, safety hazards, and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all areas of the facility are kept clean, orderly, and safe.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and basic maintenance materials.
- Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, safe equipment operation, and basic maintenance procedures.




- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance or cleaning services.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning or maintenance requests.
- Maintain records of cleaning activities, maintenance performed, and staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within facilities management, cleaning, or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning best practices, sanitation standards, and basic preventive maintenance techniques.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations in an industrial setting.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work in a dynamic environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications for scheduling and record-keeping.
- Familiarity with the industrial sector in Mexicali is advantageous.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong asset.
