About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Especialista en Control de Calidad Alimentaria Remoto to join their dedicated team. This position is vital for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. While the role is remote, it requires keen attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex quality data from production facilities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control protocols, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to food safety management systems. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food products.
- Analyze quality data from production lines, including sensory evaluations, laboratory test results, and microbiological analyses.
- Conduct remote internal audits of manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards, HACCP, and GMP principles.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant national and international food safety regulations and certifications (e.g., FDA, EFSA, ISO 22000).
- Collaborate with R&D;, production, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.




- Train and support plant personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Prepare regular quality performance reports for management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging risks, and advancements in food quality and safety.
- Oversee product traceability systems and recall procedures as necessary.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within the food industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety principles, including HACCP, GMP, and SQF/BRC/ISO 22000 standards.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting technical reports and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must be comfortable working remotely and managing tasks independently.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; English proficiency is a significant asset.
