About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in algorithm development to join our dynamic Research and Development team in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas . This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and from our local office, combining the benefits of remote work with in-person collaboration. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex algorithms that power our innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable algorithms for various applications.
- Optimize existing algorithms and software for performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and technical specifications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java).
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues.




- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve our algorithmic capabilities.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Mentor junior software engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on algorithm design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Python, C++, Java, or Go.
- Experience with algorithm design patterns and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in a hybrid work model is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
