About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding retail distribution center located in Tijuana , is seeking a meticulous and reliable Merchandise Receiving and Verification Technician. This essential role involves accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and ensuring that all merchandise is processed correctly into the inventory system. The adecuado candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and experience in warehouse receiving procedures. Key Responsibilities

- Receive incoming shipments, unload merchandise, and verify quantities and product codes against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect merchandise for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues promptly.
- Accurately record received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS) or other inventory tracking tools.
- Segregate and stage received merchandise for put-away or transfer to other departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.




- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams to resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving, inventory control, or similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in verifying shipments against documentation (POs, packing slips).
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is preferred.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, potentially forklifts if certified).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
