About the Role

Our client, a renowned purveyor of fine wines and culinary experiences, is actively seeking a highly qualified and passionate Sommelier Senior y Consultor de Vinos to join their globally recognized team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere. You will be instrumental in curating exceptional wine lists, providing expert guidance to clients and internal teams, and contributing to the strategic development of our wine portfolio. This role requires an individual with profound knowledge of international wines, impeccable palate, and the ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity and enthusiasm. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the wine offerings and ensuring an elevated experience for our discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, manage, and update comprehensive wine lists for various client establishments and direct-to-consumer channels.
- Conduct thorough wine tastings and evaluations, identifying high-quality wines that align with market trends and client preferences.
- Provide expert wine recommendations and pairing suggestions to clients, both individually and through virtual consultations.
- Educate and train sales teams and clients on wine varietals, regions, vintages, and tasting notes.
- Source and establish relationships with wineries and distributors worldwide.
- Manage wine inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage protocols.
- Develop and execute wine-focused marketing initiatives and online content.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in the wine industry globally.




- Create engaging virtual wine education events and masterclasses.
- Analyze sales data to optimize wine selections and identify new opportunities.

Requirements

- Advanced Sommelier certification (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET Level 4 or higher) or equivalent extensive experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in wine selection, cellar management, and guest service in a high-volume, fine dining, or luxury retail environment.
- Extensive knowledge of integral wine regions, grape varietals, and viticulture.
- Exceptional tasting skills and the ability to articulate complex flavor profiles.
- Strong understanding of wine and food pairing principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
- Proficiency in wine inventory management software and virtual communication platforms.
- A passion for wine education and a dedication to sharing knowledge.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
