About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking urban development consultancy, is seeking an experienced Urban Planning Architect to contribute to shaping sustainable and livable cities. This role, based remotely but with potential site visits, focuses on the strategic planning and design of urban environments, encompassing land use, transportation, public spaces, and infrastructure development. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive urban plans, zoning regulations, and land-use policies.
- Conduct spatial analysis and create master plans for urban regeneration, new developments, and infrastructure projects.
- Lead community engagement processes, workshops, and public consultations to gather input and build consensus.
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform planning decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and visual aids for stakeholders, government agencies, and the public.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers,



environmental scientists, and social planners.
- Assess the environmental impact of proposed developments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay abreast of national and international best practices in urban planning and sustainable development.
- Contribute to policy development and advise on planning legislation in regions such as Chihuahua .
- Manage project timelines and budgets for planning initiatives.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related field with a specialization in Urbanism.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in urban planning, design, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of planning software, GIS, CAD, and data analysis tools.
- Proven experience in community engagement and stakeholder facilitation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively in a remote setting.
- In-depth understanding of urban design principles, sustainable development, and public policy.
- Experience with projects in Mexico, particularly in border cities like Ciudad Juárez , is highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
