About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Connectivity and Network Specialist to join their operations in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. This role is critical for managing and optimizing the network infrastructure that powers our client's advanced telecommunications services. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity, high performance, and robust security across all network components. This position requires hands‑on experience with a variety of network technologies and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact users. As an on‑site role, you will have direct access to network hardware and the opportunity to collaborate closely with the local IT and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve any connectivity issues or bottlenecks.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams and configuration details.
- Perform regular network audits and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve complex network problems and manage service circuits.
- Respond to network incidents and outages, providing timely resolution to minimize service disruption.




- Assist in the planning and implementation of network upgrades and new installations.
- Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and switching technologies.
- Experience with network security best practices and implementation of firewalls and VPNs.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
- Knowledge of wireless networking standards and security protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are a plus.
