About the Role

Our client, a key player in the Energía sector, is seeking an experienced Onshore Wind Energy Project Development Coordinator to manage projects from inception through to financial close. This role is based in San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí , and requires a proactive individual who can navigate complex development landscapes, including site selection, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and contract negotiation. You will be instrumental in expanding our wind energy portfolio and contributing to Mexico's renewable energy goals. The role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate diverse teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all phases of onshore wind energy project development, from initial site identification and feasibility studies to securing permits and financing.
- Conduct site assessments, including wind resource analysis, environmental impact studies, and land acquisition efforts.
- Engage with local communities, government agencies, and landowners to build positive relationships and secure necessary approvals.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure accurate engineering designs and adherence to project specifications.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with landowners, suppliers, and contractors.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare investment memorandums and presentations for internal stakeholders and potential investors.
- Monitor regulatory changes and policy landscapes affecting wind energy development in Mexico .




- Oversee the permitting process, ensuring timely submission and approval of all required documentation.
- Collaborate with the construction and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition post-development.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on wind energy.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and bringing wind energy projects to financial close.
- Solid understanding of wind energy technologies, site selection criteria, and permitting processes.
- Experience with land acquisition, lease agreements, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong financial analysis and project management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office Suite and project management tools.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and social impact assessments.
- Fluent in Spanish; proficiency in English is highly advantageous.
