About the Role

Our client, a dynamic urban development company based in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico , is seeking a seasoned Construction and Urban Planning Project Manager. This pivotal role involves overseeing complex construction projects from the initial planning stages through to completion, with a strong emphasis on urban integration and sustainable development. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects, a deep understanding of urban planning principles, and a proven ability to navigate regulatory frameworks. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while also contributing to the aesthetic and functional enhancement of the urban landscape. This role offers a hybrid work model, balancing essential site visits and team collaboration with remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, from feasibility studies and design to construction and handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and control costs effectively, reporting on financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project issues.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with project teams and contractors.




- Prepare comprehensive project reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Contribute to urban planning strategies and ensure projects align with city development goals.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a significant focus on urban development projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects with complex stakeholder landscapes and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and building systems.
- Expertise in urban planning principles, zoning regulations, and environmental impact assessments.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and CAD software.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs for large-scale projects.
- Experience with hybrid work environments and managing teams across different locations.
