About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Técnico de Campo en Viticultura (Híbrido) to join their esteemed winery operations in Cuernavaca, Morelos . This role involves a blend of fieldwork on our vineyard properties and remote data analysis and planning. You will be instrumental in ensuring the health and productivity of our grapevines, contributing to the superior quality of our wines. The position requires a hands-on approach, combined with strong analytical skills to monitor vineyard conditions and implement best practices. You will work closely with vineyard managers and enologists to achieve our production goals. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular inspections of vineyard blocks to assess vine health, growth stage, and identify any signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Manage irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water application based on weather conditions, soil moisture, and vine needs.
- Oversee vineyard maintenance activities, including pruning, training, canopy management, and weed control.
- Collect soil and leaf samples for analysis and interpret the results to inform fertilization and nutrient management strategies.
- Monitor pest and disease populations using scouting techniques and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
- Assist in the planning and execution of vineyard development and replanting projects.




- Maintain detailed records of all vineyard activities, observations, and treatments using digital farm management tools.
- Collaborate with the winemaking team to understand grape quality requirements and align vineyard practices accordingly.
- Participate in vineyard tours and educational sessions for staff and visitors.

Requirements

- Degree in Viticulture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in vineyard management or viticulture field operations.
- Solid understanding of grapevine physiology, soil science, and pest/disease management in wine grape production.
- Experience with vineyard monitoring tools, including sensors, weather stations, and GIS mapping.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition to perform fieldwork in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with agricultural software and data management.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of local agricultural regulations and best practices.
- Spanish fluency required.
