About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Terapeuta Familiar to provide virtual support services to families. This role is designed for a professional who can offer counseling and therapeutic interventions remotely, utilizing secure online platforms. The focus is on strengthening family relationships, resolving conflicts, and improving overall family well-being. This is a fully remote position, allowing the therapist to work from their preferred location while serving clients who may be in or near Mérida, Yucatán , or other areas. The therapist will leverage technology to provide accessible and effective family therapy, promoting healthier dynamics and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct remote assessments of family dynamics and mental health needs.
- Provide individual, couple, and family therapy via secure video conferencing.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address identified family issues.
- Facilitate communication and conflict resolution skills within families.
- Offer psychoeducation on topics relevant to family functioning and child development.
- Work with families to establish supportive and nurturing home environments.
- Maintain confidential and accurate client records through an electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with other professionals (e.g., pediatricians, school counselors) as needed, with client consent.




- Stay current with best practices and research in family therapy and telehealth.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary via remote channels.

Requirements

- Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid professional license or certification to practice therapy in Mexico.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with a significant focus on family therapy.
- Demonstrated expertise in virtual or telehealth service delivery.
- Proficiency with various video conferencing platforms and telehealth technology.
- Strong understanding of family systems theory and evidence-based family interventions.
- Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and client management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload effectively in a remote setting.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in English is a strong asset.
