About the Role

Our client, a fast-paced consumer goods company, is seeking a proactive and analytical Especialista en Compras y Planeación de Demanda to join their supply chain team in Tijuana, Baja California . This role is critical for ensuring that the right products are available at the right time and place, by effectively forecasting demand and managing procurement activities. You will play a key role in optimizing inventory levels, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction through effective demand planning and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales input.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather forecast information and align on expectations.
- Translate demand forecasts into procurement plans, determining optimal order quantities and timing.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations, implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with logistics partners to ensure efficient transportation and warehousing of goods.
- Negotiate with suppliers on lead times and delivery schedules.




- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Stay updated on industry best practices in demand planning and procurement.

Requirements

- Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or procurement, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability in forecasting and data analysis.
- Proficiency with demand planning software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and procurement processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
