About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Jefe de Desarrollo de Producto para Consumo to lead their product innovation efforts in Mexicali, Baja California . This senior role is responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from concept generation and market research to product design, development, and launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and R&D;, to ensure products meet market demands and achieve business objectives. The adecuado candidate possesses a strong understanding of consumer trends, product development methodologies, and a proven ability to bring successful products to market. Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end product development process for consumer goods.
- Identify market opportunities and translate them into viable product concepts.
- Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and consumer needs assessment.
- Define product requirements, specifications, and roadmaps.
- Oversee product design, prototyping, and testing phases.
- Collaborate with R&D;, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality and feasibility.
- Develop and execute product launch strategies in coordination with marketing and sales teams.
- Manage product P&L; and drive profitability.




- Monitor product performance post-launch and implement necessary improvements.
- Lead and mentor the product development team.

Requirements

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development, product management, or a related field, with a significant focus on consumer products.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in the market.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, market research, and consumer behavior.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in product management software and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in the specific consumer goods sector of the company is highly desirable.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mexicali, Baja California .
