About the Role

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct research and development on novel composite materials, including polymer matrices, fibers, and reinforcements.
- Design and execute experiments to characterize the mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties of composite materials.
- Analyze test data using statistical methods and specialized software to evaluate material performance.
- Investigate new manufacturing processes for composite materials, such as resin transfer molding, prepreg lay‑up, and additive manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to scale up laboratory findings to production.
- Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends in composite materials science and engineering.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, research proposals,



and presentations.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and processes for specific product applications.
- Troubleshoot material‑related issues encountered during product development and manufacturing.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety standards.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research and development focused on composite materials.
- Strong understanding of composite material structure‑property relationships.
- Hands‑on experience with composite material testing and characterization techniques (e.g., tensile, flexural, impact, DMA, DSC).
- Familiarity with composite manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using software such as MATLAB or Python.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with failure analysis of composite materials is a plus.
