About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Mechanical Reliability Engineer to enhance the performance and longevity of their complex mechanical systems. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to work from any location while collaborating with a dedicated global team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to predict, prevent, and mitigate mechanical failures. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of mechanical principles, failure analysis, and predictive maintenance techniques. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational continuity and efficiency of our client's critical assets. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive reliability and maintainability programs for mechanical equipment.
- Conduct failure mode, effects, and criticality analyses (FMECA) and root cause analyses (RCA).
- Implement predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and recommend preventive actions.
- Develop and optimize maintenance strategies and procedures to minimize downtime and costs.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams remotely to share findings and implement improvements.
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and specifications for equipment upgrades or replacements.




- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in mechanical reliability engineering.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical reliability engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
- Proven experience with failure analysis techniques (FMEA, RCA) and predictive maintenance tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment, pumps, and compressors.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of condition monitoring data.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills; experience with remote work tools and platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices for mechanical reliability.
- Fluency in English is essential for general team collaboration.
