About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Geologist specializing in Resource and Reserve Estimation to join their team. This hybrid role, based in Toluca, State of Mexico, MX , is essential for accurately quantifying mineral resources and reserves, supporting strategic mine planning and investment decisions. You will work with geological data, apply geostatistical methods, and generate robust resource models. The position requires a blend of office-based work for analysis and collaboration, with potential for occasional field visits. The adecuado candidate will have a strong quantitative background, proficiency in geological modeling software, and a thorough understanding of reporting standards such as NI 43-101 or JORC. Your work will directly influence the economic viability and future development of our mining assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Compile, validate, and interpret geological data from exploration and mining activities.
- Perform geostatistical analysis to estimate mineral resources and reserves.
- Develop and maintain 3D geological models using industry-standard software.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports detailing resource and reserve estimates.
- Collaborate with mine engineers and other stakeholders to ensure integrated planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant reporting codes (e.g., NI 43-101, JORC).
- Support due diligence activities and technical reviews.




- Stay updated on the latest methodologies in resource estimation and geostatistics.
- Contribute to mine planning and optimization efforts.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Geology with a focus on Geostatistics or Economic Geology.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in resource and reserve estimation for mining projects.
- Proven proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog Geo, Vulcan, Datamine).
- Strong understanding and application of geostatistical techniques.
- Experience with compliance with international reporting standards (NI 43-101, JORC, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Based in or willing to commute to Toluca, State of Mexico, MX , with flexibility for remote work as needed.
