About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the Energy sector, is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join their fully remote, forward-thinking team. This role is central to designing and implementing innovative cloud-based solutions that power the next generation of energy technologies and operations. You will define the technical vision for our cloud strategy, ensuring our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective, enabling the company to lead in the transition to sustainable energy. We are looking for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in cloud architecture, a passion for the energy industry, and a proven ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. This is a fully remote position offering maximum autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, tailored for the energy industry.
- Develop comprehensive cloud strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of cloud migrations and new cloud-native applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and product managers to understand requirements and propose optimal cloud solutions.
- Define best practices for cloud security, governance, and cost management.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance our energy operations.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and implementation plans.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends,



emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing and the energy sector.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and solutions design.
- Deep expertise in at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their core services (compute, storage, networking, databases, security).
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex, enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Excellent understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with the energy sector's specific technical challenges and opportunities is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote setting.
