About the Role

Our client, a significant energy producer, is looking for a skilled Ingeniero de Reservorios de Petróleo to join their team in Zapopan, Jalisco . This role requires consistent on-site presence, fostering close collaboration with field and office teams. You will be tasked with analyzing reservoir performance, forecasting production, and developing strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery from existing and new assets. Your technical expertise will be vital in making informed decisions that enhance profitability and ensure the sustainable development of our resources. We seek a proactive and analytical professional passionate about reservoir management and maximizing asset value within the complex hydrocarbons industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze reservoir characteristics, fluid properties, and production data.
- Perform decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and reserve estimations.
- Develop and implement reservoir management plans to optimize production and recovery.
- Conduct feasibility studies for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects.
- Utilize reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow and predict future performance.
- Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to management.




- Monitor the performance of producing assets and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering.
- Strong knowledge of reservoir fluid properties, rock mechanics, and fluid flow principles.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG).
- Experience with reserve estimation and reporting standards (e.g., SEC, SPE).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in Zapopan, Jalisco .
