About the Role

Our client is looking for a specialized AI Specialist focused on the healthcare sector to join their team in Cancún, Quintana Roo . This role is integral to leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve patient care, optimize clinical workflows, and accelerate medical research. You will work with sensitive health data, ensuring privacy and compliance while developing innovative AI solutions. The idóneo candidate has a strong understanding of both AI/ML techniques and the unique challenges and regulations within the healthcare industry. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement AI/ML models for healthcare applications, such as diagnostic support, predictive modeling for disease outbreaks, and personalized treatment plans.
- Analyze and interpret complex healthcare datasets, including EMRs, medical imaging, and genomic data.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and data privacy standards.
- Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and IT professionals to identify opportunities for AI implementation.
- Evaluate the performance and clinical utility of AI models.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI for healthcare and relevant medical research.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of secure and scalable AI systems for the healthcare domain.
- Develop documentation and present findings to stakeholders.




- Troubleshoot and optimize AI models and pipelines in a clinical context.
- Contribute to the ethical considerations of AI in healthcare.

Requirements

- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience applying AI/ML techniques to healthcare problems.
- Strong knowledge of medical data types (e.g., DICOM, HL7) and electronic health records (EHRs).
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML/AI libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience with medical imaging analysis techniques is a significant plus.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms is beneficial.
