About the Role

Our client, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Especialista en Compras y Logística de Materiales to join their operations in Guadalajara, Jalisco . This role is pivotal in managing the acquisition of raw materials and components, ensuring timely delivery, and optimizing inventory levels to support production needs efficiently. You will be responsible for supplier selection, negotiation, and maintaining robust supply chain relationships to guarantee the consistent availability of necessary materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and procure raw materials, components, and supplies according to specifications and quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock, minimizing holding costs while preventing stockouts.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure efficient and timely transportation of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and inventory data.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality control departments to understand material requirements and specifications.




- Stay informed about market trends and pricing for key materials to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Implement improvements in procurement and logistics processes to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on materials.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and logistics operations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and procurement software.
- Ability to analyze market data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
