About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Educador/a Social to work with at-risk youth in Zapopan, Jalisco . This role focuses on providing guidance, mentorship, and support to young people facing social, economic, or behavioral challenges. The objective is to empower them to make positive life choices, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential. This position operates under a hybrid model, combining essential outreach and face-to-face interactions within the Zapopan community with remote planning, follow-up, and administrative tasks. The goal is to build trust, foster resilience, and create pathways to a brighter future for the youth served.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement educational and recreational programs for youth.
- Provide individual and group mentoring and counseling.
- Conduct outreach to identify and engage at-risk youth within the community.
- Assist youth in developing life skills, such as conflict resolution, communication, and decision-making.
- Support youth in accessing educational and vocational opportunities.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other community organizations to create a supportive network.
- Monitor youth progress and provide regular feedback to stakeholders.
- Organize and supervise group activities, workshops, and field trips.




- Maintain accurate and confidential records of youth interactions and progress.
- Act as a positive role model and advocate for the youth.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with adolescents or young adults in a social, educational, or counseling capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and build rapport with challenging youth populations.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and risk factors.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and group leadership skills.
- Experience working in a hybrid setting, balancing field and remote responsibilities.
- Knowledge of local resources and support systems available in Zapopan .
- Proficiency in Spanish is required.
- First aid or CPR certification is a plus.
