About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking an organized and efficient Coordinador de Transporte y Carga to manage their transportation operations in Mexicali, Baja California . This role is essential for ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods, coordinating with carriers, managing shipments, and optimizing logistics. The idóneo candidate has a strong understanding of transportation modes, carrier management, and logistics documentation. You will be responsible for tracking shipments, resolving any transportation issues, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that all transportation activities are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage all inbound and outbound transportation activities.
- Select and manage relationships with carriers, negotiating rates and service level agreements.
- Track shipments from origin to destination, providing real-time updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve transportation-related issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Ensure all shipments comply with relevant transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
- Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and delivery times.
- Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities and costs.




- Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination of shipments.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports on transportation performance and costs.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or freight management.
- Strong understanding of various transportation modes (truck, rail, air, sea) and their applications.
- Experience in carrier selection, negotiation, and performance management.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) or similar logistics software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
