About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct , is seeking a highly skilled Científico de Datos con Enfoque en Bioinformática to join their innovative Research and Development team located in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico, MX . Key Responsibilities

- Analyze large-scale biological datasets (genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, etc.).
- Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms for biological data analysis.
- Design and execute computational experiments to test hypotheses.
- Collaborate with biologists and chemists to define research questions and interpret results.
- Develop data visualization tools and reports to communicate findings.
- Stay current with advancements in bioinformatics, data science, and relevant biological fields.
- Contribute to the development of new analytical methodologies and software tools.
- Ensure data integrity and reproducibility of analyses.

Requirements





- Master's or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in bioinformatics data analysis or a related research role.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in relevant bioinformatics libraries (e.g., Biopython, SciPy).
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with biological databases and data formats.
- Familiarity with genomics, transcriptomics, or proteomics data is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in a hybrid model in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico, MX .
