About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Gerente de Eventos y Banquetes de Alto Nivel to manage and execute prestigious events for their exclusive venue in Torreón, Coahuila . This role requires a highly organized individual with a flair for creativity and a proven ability to deliver flawless event experiences, from intimate gatherings to large-scale banquets. You will be responsible for the entire event lifecycle, including client consultation, planning, vendor management, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a passion for creating memorable occasions.

Key Responsibilities

- Consult with clients to understand their event needs, vision, and budget.
- Develop comprehensive event proposals, menus, and floor plans tailored to client requirements.
- Source and manage relationships with external vendors, including caterers, decorators, entertainment, and AV providers.
- Oversee the seamless execution of events, ensuring all details are managed meticulously on-site.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including culinary, service, and facilities staff, to ensure smooth event operations.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability while adhering to client agreements.
- Conduct pre- and post-event debriefs with clients and internal teams to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on event industry trends, best practices, and innovative ideas.




- Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout the event planning process and execution.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during an event calmly and effectively.

Requirements

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning and management, preferable in a high-end catering or venue setting.
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events, from corporate functions to social celebrations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and vendors.
- Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A creative eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Ability to work versátil hours, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules demand.
- Experience in the Torreón market is a plus.
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
