About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Networks and Security Engineer to enhance their telecommunications infrastructure in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes . This role is essential for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient data networks. You will be responsible for safeguarding network assets, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing network performance. Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and manage secure data network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Implement and maintain robust security policies, protocols, and systems to protect against cyber threats.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts, performing incident response and forensic analysis when necessary.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Develop and manage VPN solutions and secure remote access technologies.
- Optimize network performance and ensure high availability of network services.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network security documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure security is integrated into all network designs and deployments.

and technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support on network security matters.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data network engineering with a strong focus on network security.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security concepts.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security) are a significant plus.
