About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking agricultural technology firm, is seeking a highly skilled Ingeniero de Sistemas de Riego Inteligente Remoto to lead the design and implementation of innovative irrigation solutions. This role is crucial for optimizing water usage and improving crop yields for our agricultural partners globally, all managed from a remote work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in agricultural engineering, sensor technology, data analysis, and smart irrigation systems. You will be responsible for developing customized irrigation strategies, configuring automated systems, and providing ongoing technical support to our clients. Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop customized smart irrigation systems tailored to specific crop types, soil conditions, and climate data.
- Integrate sensor networks (soil moisture, weather stations, flow meters) with central control platforms.
- Configure and calibrate irrigation controllers and automation software for optimal water delivery.
- Analyze irrigation performance data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop predictive models for irrigation scheduling based on real-time data and weather forecasts.
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for clients experiencing issues with their irrigation systems.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and training materials.
- Collaborate with sales and R&D; teams to ensure new product development meets market needs.




- Stay updated on the latest advancements in irrigation technology, water management, and agricultural IoT.
- Conduct remote training sessions for clients on the operation and maintenance of smart irrigation systems.

Requirements

- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing advanced irrigation systems, with a focus on smart technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of irrigation principles, hydraulics, sensor technologies, and data analytics.
- Proficiency with irrigation design software (e.g., AutoCAD, specific irrigation design tools) and control system programming.
- Experience with IoT platforms and data visualization tools for agricultural applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
- Experience with various water sources and treatment methods for irrigation.
- Fluency in Spanish is essential; strong English proficiency is highly desirable.
