- Establish new suppliers and qualify components for production
- Represent Supplier Quality Engineering on New Product Development teams
- Perform audits of suppliers’ quality management systems and processes.
- Create qualification plans and verify Production Part Approval Process deliverables.
- Participate in stage gate development process to qualify suppliers or components.
- Monitor and manage the quality of purchased components
- Respond to supplier quality issues and lead disposition of supplier non-conformances and actions identified on each instance thru the Andon process.
- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers thru Supplier Corrective Action Requests to eliminate recurrence of non-conformaces.
- Develop receiving inspection plans and verification methods.
- Contol and maintain minimum inventory levels of discrepant material at MRB (Material Review Board).
- Manages and dispose supplier non-conformances in a timely manner.
