About the Role
Our client, a rapidly growing leader in the agricultural technology sector, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Remote Director of Agricultural Operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the chance to lead and shape agricultural strategies from anywhere. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of agricultural operations, including farm planning, crop management, resource allocation, team leadership, and performance optimization across multiple projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing large-scale agricultural operations, driving efficiency, and implementing innovative practices. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of agronomy and modern farming techniques, and expertise in leveraging technology for operational excellence. You will work closely with a general team, ensuring the successful execution of agricultural programs and contributing to the company's mission of advancing sustainable and efficient food production. This is a key leadership role for someone passionate about agriculture and adept at managing complex operations remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic operational plans to achieve agricultural production goals and optimize profitability.

Oversee the planning, planting, cultivation, and harvesting processes for various crops across different locations.

Manage budgets, resources (labor, equipment, supplies), and inventory to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Lead, mentor,



and develop a team of farm managers, agronomists, and operational staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Implement and monitor best practices in crop management, soil health, water conservation, and pest control.

Drive the adoption and effective use of agricultural technologies, including precision farming tools, data analytics, and automation systems.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

Analyze operational data to identify trends, assess performance, and implement data-driven improvements.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., R&D;, Sales, Finance) to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.

Report on operational performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Requirements

Master's degree or equivalent experience in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agronomy, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in agricultural operations management, with a significant portion in leadership roles.

Demonstrated success in managing large-scale crop production and diverse agricultural operations.

In-depth knowledge of modern farming techniques, crop science, soil management, and pest control strategies.

Proven experience with precision agriculture technologies, data management, and farm automation systems.

Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and budget management abilities.
