Purpose of the Role: As an Automation Sr. Specialist, you will drive the development and deployment of advanced automation technologies across the general VSC factory network. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.

Main Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain the global automation strategy, technology roadmap, and design standards to enable scalable and standardized solutions across manufacturing sites.
- Design and deploy advanced automation solutions, including robotics, machine vision, automated assembly, material handling, and inspection technologies, to improve manufacturing performance.
- Implement AI-enabled manufacturing applications, digital twins, simulation, and virtual commissioning to optimize processes, enhance equipment effectiveness, and reduce industrialization risks.
- Lead automation projects from concept to deployment, including business case development, technology evaluation, proof of concept, pilot implementation, qualification,



and benefit realization.
- Develop automation solutions that enhance operator safety, ergonomics, workforce productivity, manufacturing resilience, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with Digitalization, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations teams to integrate automation technologies, support global deployment, transfer knowledge, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements & Technical Knowledge:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing automation or advanced manufacturing, with proven success delivering automation projects from concept through industrialization.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation and controls, including PLCs, HMIs, motion control, sensors, and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with robotics, machine vision, AI-enabled manufacturing applications, and automated inspection or assembly systems.
- Knowledge of digital twins, simulation, and virtual commissioning to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce implementation risks.
- Experience in project management, technology evaluation, business case development, ROI analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
