Your Role Aptiv is seeking a Lead Test Development Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing test solutions that ensure product quality and production readiness throughout the product lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to design, validate, and optimize test hardware, software, and processes supporting high-volume automotive manufacturing. You will collaborate with global engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and program teams to deliver robust production test solutions, troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, and continuously improve test performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain manufacturing test software using LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, TestStand, C++, and C.
• Design and implement application-specific test solutions and define test coverage requirements based on product and customer specifications.
• Support test equipment development, validation, supplier buy-offs, and production launches.
• Perform statistical analysis, capability studies, and CPK evaluations to drive process and test improvements.
• Develop and maintain memory programming and flashing solutions for automotive electronic products and controllers.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing test issues, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve test performance, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Manufacturing Leads (PMLs), quality teams, suppliers, and global engineering teams to ensure production readiness.
• Train manufacturing personnel, support global production sites, and contribute to post-series production and ongoing test optimization activities. Your Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test development, test engineering,



or related automotive engineering roles, with hands-on experience developing manufacturing test solutions.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW, NI LabWindows/CVI, NI TestStand, C++, or C, including electrical functional testing and production test systems.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, LVDS, or BroadR-Reach.
• Experience with statistical methods, capability analysis, process improvement techniques, and cross-functional global engineering teams.
• Advanced English proficiency, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills and a proactive continuous-improvement mindset.
• Experience with memory programming and flashing technologies, Six Sigma methodologies, supplier equipment buy-offs, manufacturing launches, process validation, quality systems, or high-volume automotive manufacturing is preferred. Why join Aptiv?
