You Are
UST is searching for a hands‑on Senior .NET Developer who can turn ambiguous business or technical problems into practical, production‑ready solutions. The successful candidate will work independently, collaborate effectively with product, architecture, quality, security, and operations partners, and take ownership from discovery and design through implementation, release, and production support.
The Opportunity
- Take unclear or incomplete requirements, identify the real problem, surface assumptions and risks, and propose a practical path forward.
- Own solution delivery end to end, including discovery, technical analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and production follow-through.
- Design, build,
and maintain reliable backend services and web APIs using C#, modern .NET, ASP.NET Core, REST, JSON, and established engineering practices.
- Evaluate solution options and explain trade‑offs across architecture, performance, scalability, security, operability, delivery effort, and long‑term maintainability.
- Create focused proofs of concept when they reduce uncertainty, then convert validated approaches into supportable production solutions.
- Apply SOLID principles, object‑oriented design, design patterns, clean code practices, and appropriate modern architecture patterns without over‑engineering.
- Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests, contribute to quality gates, and partner with QA to cover negative, boundary, and regression scenarios.
- Perform constructive code reviews, challenge weak assumptions, voice technical or delivery concerns early, and help the team resolve issues transparently.
- Troubleshoot complex defects and production incidents using logs, traces, metrics, database analysis, and structured root‑cause investigation.
- Improve existing systems through refactoring, performance tuning, technical‑debt reduction, secure coding, and better documentation.

- Proven experience working with Microservices Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of object‑oriented design, SOLID principles, clean code, design patterns, dependency injection, asynchronous programming, and exception handling.
- Experience with SQL Server or comparable relational databases, including data modeling, T‑SQL, query optimization, transactions, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ORM technologies such as Entity Framework and with API contracts using JSON and common web‑service standards.
- Practical experience with automated unit and integration testing and with testable application design.
- Working knowledge of source control, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and disciplined release practices.
- Ability to reason about modern distributed‑system patterns such as microservices, service‑oriented architecture, domain‑driven design, asynchronous messaging, event‑driven design, and CQRS, choosing them only when appropriate.
- Strong troubleshooting and production‑support capability, including log and stack‑trace analysis, root‑cause analysis, and permanent remediation.
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, raise concerns constructively, and follow solutions through to produc
