Release Engineer

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Position Overview

We are looking for a Release Engineer with experience in Release Management, Change Management, and software deployment processes to support and coordinate application releases across technical and business teams.

The successful candidate will help plan, coordinate, and execute releases throughout the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring deployments are properly prepared, scheduled, and completed in accordance with established procedures.

This role involves working closely with Development, DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, IT Operations, and Business teams to coordinate release activities, track dependencies, manage risks, and support successful production deployments.

The idóneo candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment, managing multiple release activities and resolving issues in coordination with the relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate release activities from planning and preparation through deployment and post-release follow-up.
- Maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate release requirements, timelines, dependencies, and activities across multiple applications and technical teams.
- Collaborate with Development, DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, IT Operations, and Business stakeholders.
- Verify release readiness, ensuring required testing, documentation, resources, and approvals are in place.
- Support code promotion and deployment activities across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Coordinate Go-Live activities and monitor deployments to help ensure successful production releases.
- Track release progress, identify potential risks and dependencies, and follow up on outstanding issues.




- Support risk and impact assessments and coordinate mitigation actions when required.
- Ensure release activities follow established Change Management and Enterprise Change Management (ECM) processes.
- Coordinate change requests, approvals, implementation plans, and post-implementation reviews.
- Provide status updates on release progress, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate release records and technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve deployment procedures, release processes, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Release Engineering, Release Management, Deployment Management, DevOps, or related IT roles.
- Experience coordinating software releases and production deployment activities.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release processes.
- Familiarity with deployment procedures and promoting code across multiple environments.
- Knowledge of Change Management processes, including change requests, approvals, and implementation controls.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Change Management (ECM) practices.
- Experience coordinating activities across Development, QA, Infrastructure, DevOps, and IT Operations teams.
- Understanding of release planning, scheduling, risk assessment, and dependency tracking.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model, attending the office 3 days per week in Mexico City.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
