We at Coforge are hiring for the position of Senior Java Application Support Engineer – AWS (L3) with the following skill set.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L3/L4 production support for business-critical applications running on AWS.
- Lead Major Incident Management activities for P1/P2 incidents, ensuring timely service restoration and effective stakeholder communication.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), identify recurring issues, and implement permanent corrective and preventive solutions.
- Drive operational automation using Python and/or Bash to reduce manual interventions and operational toil.
- Improve application and platform reliability, resilience, scalability, performance, and availability in alignment with SRE principles.
- Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Drive improvements in Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Recover (MTTR).
- Conduct reliability reviews, risk assessments, capacity planning, chaos testing, and resilience validation.
- Support and troubleshoot Java Spring Boot microservices, including application performance bottlenecks and memory-related issues.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines with operational monitoring and reliability practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Assess SRE,



DevOps, and observability maturity, define improvement roadmaps, and drive continuous service improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 12–18 years of overall experience in software engineering, production operations, application support, SRE, or DevOps.
- Strong experience supporting Java, Spring Boot, and microservices-based applications in production environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, ALB/ELB, Route 53, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools, including GitHub Actions, Git, and GitHub.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Amazon ECS, Fargate, and ECR.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting for operational automation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Linux administration and networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, and security groups.
- Knowledge of AWS security services and practices, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and CloudTrail.
- Proven experience in production monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, Major Incident Management, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS), MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Strong expertise in assessing SRE, DevOps, and observability maturity models and defining actionable improvement roadmaps.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and commitment to continuous improvement.
