Plan, implement, and oversee asset security strategies in Impala México to protect the organization´s physical, human, and information assets, preventing risks, losses, and illicit acts while ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Key responsabilities:

- Design, implement, and update the comprehensive asset security plan for the Mexico terminal.
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate risks that could affect people, assets, facilities, and information.
- Define security policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with the Mexico terminal´s objectives.
- Manage strategies for the prevention and control of losses, illicit activities, emergencies, property damage, and accidents.
- Verify compliance by the team under supervision, as well as the management and action plans to address findings related to statistics and monitoring indicators assigned to the asset security team, including monthly objectives and deliverables.
- Ensure the protection of the company´s facilities, equipment, goods, vehicles, and other assets.
- Ensure the proper functioning of access controls, patrols, physical surveillance, CCTV systems, alarms, etc.
- Manage the review, evaluation, and decision-making regarding the hiring and performance of security service providers (surveillance, security escorts, external security, cargo escorts, GPS
- services, CCTV monitoring operators).
- Maintain control and secure custody of information regarding materials (client products). Directly participate in investigations into situations that affect our client´s assets or the image of Impala Terminals.
- Ensure and manage—in coordination with the team—adequate staffing levels for security agents, escorts, etc., based on process requirements or operational demand.
- Develop strategies regarding the safety and protection of Impala Terminals personnel.
- Periodically lead the execution of vulnerability, risk, and asset-related hazard analyses at the terminal.
- Manage and ensure security controls for local and remote operations, container handling, imports, exports, and transfers,



managing the implementation of specific controls to prevent situations or incidents that could endanger personnel and cargo.
- Ensure proper coordination directly with competent authorities, fostering alliances to secure support in situations requiring
- Ensure that personnel under their supervision comply with Integrated Management System (SIG) provisions, and oversee the periodic review and updating of policies, procedures, instructions, forms, records, and other tools necessary for asset protection management.
- Promote—through their team—mandatory adherence to occupational health and environmental protection standards during the performance of daily activities.
- Monitor compliance with BASC security standards, directly participating in certification and recertification processes as applicable.
- Coordinate—through their team—meetings with representatives of external parties (contractors, external supervision firms, transport providers, etc.) and periodic audits or inspections regarding Safety, Occupational Health, and the Environment for the company and its contractors; conduct and participate in inspections and audits to ensure adherence to standards and compliance with the Annual Program.
- Perform other duties assigned to achieve the objectives of the department and the company.

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Security Management,
- Criminology, former Military / Law Enforcement, or a related field.
- Certifications or postgraduate studies in Asset Protection, Corporate Security, Risk Analysis, and Vulnerability Assessments.
- ASIS International certifications (CPP, PSP, or PCI), BASC Internal Auditor.

Experience:

- 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, industrial asset protection, military, or law enforcement,



including 5–8 years in a senior Security Manager role within port terminals, mineral concentrates storage facilities, mining logistics, or dry bulk supply chains.
- Proven track record designing and executing physical security, loss prevention, and anti-theft strategies for high-value bulk and containerized mineral concentrates (e.g., copper, zinc, lead, and precious-metal-bearing concentrates) across storage yards, blending and sampling operations, and multimodal transport corridors in Mexico (specifically the Manzanillo, Colima port and highway/rail network).
- Extensive experience selecting, contracting, and overseeing third-party security service providers—including armed/unarmed guard forces, mobile patrols, road/rail cargo escorts, GPS satellite tracking vendors, and 24/7 CCTV monitoring operators—enforcing strict SLAs, KPIs, and Mexican regulatory compliance (SSPC / REPSE).
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining international and national supply chain security certifications and audit frameworks, specifically BASC (Business Alliance for Secure Commerce), ISPS Code (Código PBIP), ISO 28000, OEA (Authorized Economic Operator), and C-TPAT protocols.
- Demonstrated experience leading internal and external investigations into cargo shrinkage, weighbridge/scale discrepancies, high-security seal tampering, pilferage, illicit cargo/container contamination, and potential collusion, ensuring strict chain-of-custody and evidentiary integrity.
- Proven background in crisis management, emergency response, business continuity planning (BCP), executive/personnel protection, and threat intelligence analysis in high-risk operational regions in Mexico.
- Solid track record of institutional liaison and operational coordination with Mexican maritime, port, military, customs, and civil authorities (SEMAR, ASIPONA Manzanillo, UNAPROP, ANAM/Customs, Guardia Nacional, FGR, and State/Municipal authorities).
