Job Description Insight General is seeking a Regional Development Engineer for a top global electronics and technology manufacturing client in Mexico City. This individual will own and grow customer relationships across an assigned territory, partnering directly with engineering and purchasing teams to identify opportunities and develop new business. The role combines technical engineering knowledge with customer-facing sales and account development, supporting technology solutions across telecommunications and other technical markets. The ideal candidate has an engineering background, 2-3+ years of customer service or sales experience, advanced English and Spanish proficiency, and an interest in building a long-term career within technical sales and business development.
Day-to-Day:
- Support and visit customers throughout the assigned sales territory
- Partner with customer purchasing and engineering teams to generate new leads
- Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships
- Develop new customers and identify opportunities for business growth
- Collaborate across Amphenol divisions to close opportunities and expand existing accounts
- Learn technical product lines, including connectors, sensors, coaxial cables, and harnesses
- Communicate customer opportunities and potential business to internal divisions
- Resolve customer concerns involving quality, pricing, discounts, payments, and technical issues
- Develop account and regional growth strategies
- Participate in trade shows and customer-facing events
- Maintain CRM/customer data and sales activity
- Prepare regional sales budgets and projections
- Complete monthly expense reports and regional sales reporting




- Collaborate internally to provide customer solutions and support company culture Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related technology field (relevant degrees include Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems, or Software Engineering)
- 2-3+ years of customer service and/or sales experience
- Advanced English and Spanish proficiency
- Strong understanding of technical/technology solutions
- Comfortable engaging both engineering and purchasing stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and CRM tools
- Experience with or ability to learn Salesforce and emerging AI technologies
- Comfortable traveling locally/regionally to visit customers
- Experience within telecommunications, industrial, aerospace, IT/datacom, electronics, or related technical markets
- Familiarity with connectors, sensors, coaxial cables, harnesses, or similar electronic components
- Salesforce experience
- Previous experience developing new accounts
