About AGOL Worldwide
AGOL Worldwide is an international logistics company specializing in air freight, time-critical transportation, global trade, and complex supply chain solutions.
Following our recent IATA accreditation in Mexico, we are expanding our Air Cargo operations and seeking an experienced professional to take ownership of our Monterrey Air Cargo desk.
The Opportunity
This is not a traditional operations, shipment-tracking, or documentation-only position.
We are looking for an experienced, independent, and commercially minded Air Cargo professional who can manage international air freight shipments from A to Z while helping develop a growing business.
Our Mexico Air Cargo operation is currently small, but the foundation is already in place:
- Recently obtained IATA accreditation in Mexico.
- Established bidding platforms, including AOD (Ascent) and CargoBase, generating ongoing quotation opportunities.
- An international network of freight forwarding agents providing air freight opportunities to and from Mexico.
- An established AGOL office in Monterrey.
- Operational support from our U.S. Air Cargo and international Time Critical teams.
You will initially operate as a one-person Air Cargo department, with support available when needed.
We need someone who can independently manage quotations, secure airline bookings, execute shipments, develop vendor relationships,
and take responsibility for the department's performance.
As the operation grows, this role offers the opportunity to advance into Air Cargo Manager – Mexico, with responsibility for developing and leading a larger team.
Key Responsibilities 1. End-to-End Air Cargo Operations
- Independently manage international air exports and imports from quotation through final delivery.
- Obtain airline rates, evaluate routing options, confirm capacity, and manage bookings.
- Prepare, issue, and review MAWB, HAWB, and required shipping documentation.
- Coordinate cargo pickup, airport transfers, screening, terminal delivery, and airline acceptance.
- Manage flight schedules, airline cutoffs, and cargo handling requirements.
- Coordinate import/export clearance and pedimentos with Mexican customs brokers.
- Manage pre-alerts, arrival notices, cargo releases, and final deliveries.
- Resolve shipment delays, offloads, rejected cargo, documentation discrepancies, and operational exceptions.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, costs, billing details, and file closures.
You must already know how to independently execute international air freight shipments.
2. Quotations, Bid Boards & Commercial Growth
- Actively monitor and respond to quotation opportunities through AOD, CargoBase, overseas agents, and AGOL's international teams.
- Source competitive airline rates and identify efficient routing alternatives.
- Prepare accurate quotations while protecting shipment profitability.
- Respond quickly to urgent and time-sensitive requests.
- Follow up on quotations and help improve conversion rates.
- Coordinate with AGOL's Time Critical division on expedited shipments.
- Identify profitable trade lanes, repeat business opportunities, and potential airline partnerships.
This position requires someone who understands that winning profitable shipments is as important as executing them successfully.
3. Airline & Vendor Relationships
- Develop direct working relationships with airlines, cargo terminals, and ground handling agents.
- Coordinate shipments through Monterrey International Airport (MTY) and other Mexican gateways when required.
- Build relationships with customs brokers, trucking providers, and airport service partners.
- Support direct airline agreements and competitive rate structures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable airline, IATA, security, and cargo handling requirements.
You will have support, but you must be comfortable managing your responsibilities without constant supervision.
4. Department Ownership & Development
- Independently organize daily quotations, shipments, and operational priorities.
- Take responsibility for operational execution, service quality, and profitability.
- Monitor costs, margins, quotation performance, and shipment activity.
- Establish practical workflows
