Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Guaymas, SON. This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, validating approvals, coding expenses to the correct accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and reconciling expense reports, preparing and posting journal entries, resolving invoice discrepancies, and maintaining organized records in the accounting system.

The specialist collaborates closely with finance and other departments to respond to inquiries, support month-end close activities,



and contribute to continuous improvement in accounts payable processes. This role requires careful attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and adherence to Tetakawi’s strict policies and controls.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Finance and Accounting knowledge, including familiarity with basic principles and controls.
- Candidates should possess experience handling Expense Reports and related reimbursement processes.
- Candidates should possess the ability to prepare and review Journal Entries (Accounting) for accounts payable and general ledger activities.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and supporting month-end close.
- Relevant qualifications include a technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Additional beneficial skills include proficiency in ERP or accounting software, intermediate Excel skills, strong organizational abilities, and clear written and verbal communication.
- Experience in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment and familiarity with shelter program operations are considered an advantage.
