Required Qualifications & Experience

- Seniority / Capability Level: 8 years of professional backend engineering experience (Capability Tier 3). High comfort navigating ambiguous requirements in large-scale backend systems.
- Rust & Cargo Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Rust language ecosystems, Cargo package manager operations, and artifact repository standards.

Language Proficiency:

- Strong proficiency in Rust (domain experience).
- Professional experience in Go and/or Java (or proven ability to quickly pick up Go/Java if experienced in C/C ).

Backend Systems & Scale: Experience building, scaling, and maintaining high-availability, mission-critical distributed systems or cloud services.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Strong dedication to automated unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD best practices.

- Experience with artifact management platforms, package registry protocols, or container registries.
- Background in supply chain security, attestation frameworks (e.g., SLSA provenance), or automated vulnerability scanning tools.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Artifact Registry, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, GKE).
