ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Finance Operations Specialist to support the marketing organization of a leading cloud communications provider, part of a general technology group.

You will own the day-to-day financial operations behind the marketing department's budgeting and accounting needs, working closely with Finance, Accounting, T&E;, and Accounts Payable. The role reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support all day-to-day financial operations of the marketing department's budgeting and accounting needs
- Manage the marketing budget alongside Accounting and Finance: budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
- Validate accounting reports against budget forecasts
- Ensure marketing spend allocations align with internal billing codes to drive accurate P&L; reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Partner with key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, T&E;, and Accounts Payable

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, cross-functional environment

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

- 2–3 years of experience in Finance Operations
- Accounting background, with a working understanding of and adherence to GAAP
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and close reconciliations




- Strong Excel skills
- Availability to work 9–5 EST or CST

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience supporting a marketing or other non-finance department's budget
- Exposure to P&L; reporting and internal billing code structures
- Prior experience in technology, SaaS, or telecommunications environments

- Start date: approximately 7 weeks after offer acceptance, due to contracting and background check requirements. Candidates must be able to commit to this timeline.
- This is a 12-month engagement with a 100% remote setup from Mexico.
