About the Company
Unedo is a magazine-inspired app for Spanish learners who have outgrown flashcards. We believe learning the language is only half the journey. The other half is culture. Every day we publish Sparks, short human-crafted stories about food, music, film, and everyday life that make Spanish come alive.
About the Role To bring that story to more learners, we're looking for a marketing project manager. You'll bring light strategy, steady production tracking, and the right vendors across content, CRM, social, and search, so good ideas actually ship. You'll work directly with our founders and a small, senior team, so your ideas get heard and decisions move fast.
Responsibilities
- Track production across marketing workstreams so nothing slips: briefs, deadlines, approvals, and handoffs for content, CRM, social, and SEO/GEO (40%).
- Run a simple, living system (calendar, board, weekly status) that the whole team can read at a glance.
- Find, vet, and manage vendors and freelancers such as content creators, email and CRM specialists, social talent, and SEO/GEO partners, including briefing, scoping, budgets, and follow-through (30%).
- Provide light strategy support by pressure-testing plans, sequencing priorities, and suggesting where to test and where to hold back, with a growth mindset (20%).
- Report on what's working with clear, honest updates on progress, spend, and results, so we can adjust quickly (10%).
- Keep assets and learnings organized with clear naming, versioning, and shared libraries, so the next campaign starts from something rather than from scratch.
- Work directly with our founders and a small, senior team across editorial, design,
and product, and flag early when timelines or budgets are at risk.
Qualifications
- Freelance to start, with one or two defined projects at the outset.
- If it's a great fit on both sides, we'd like to grow the role toward full time.
- Location: Versátil, with strong preference for Mexico or US Central/Eastern time. You'll need regular overlap with Pacific morning and European afternoon.
Required Skills
- Strong project and vendor management instincts. You write clear briefs, set realistic timelines, give useful feedback, and keep freelancers motivated and on schedule.
- Some growth experience across channels like lifecycle email, social, SEO, or content, enough to ask smart questions and judge the work, even if you're not the specialist.
- Practical working knowledge of the channels we use: CRM and email platforms, social scheduling tools, and SEO/GEO (search and AI-answer visibility) basics.
- Excellent organization and async communication for remote collaboration, plus good judgment about what needs a decision and what can just move forward.
- Comfort with project tools such as Notion.
- Startup experience a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Nice to have: Spanish, or a real curiosity about Spanish-speaking cultures. It's a plus, not a requirement.
Pay range and compensation package
- Your rate expectations for a freelance start, and your availability.
How to Apply
- A short note on how you keep multiple workstreams and vendors on track.
- A recent example of a project you managed from brief to launch, and what you'd do differently.
- Your rate expectations for a freelance start, and your availability.
