Location:
Remote (Mexico) Role Level: Solution / Platform Architect (Senior / Principal) Domain Focus: Database Infrastructure, Automation, GenAI & Agentic AI We are seeking an experienced AI & Automation Solution Architect to establish and lead the technical foundation for Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI initiatives across our enterprise database services landscape. In this strategic, high-visibility role, you will provide architectural leadership for existing database automation frameworks while defining and delivering the roadmap for next-generation capabilities—including AI Agents, Agentic AI, RAG-based solutions, and intelligent operational workflows. Your primary focus will be transforming standalone automations into a scalable, governed, and enterprise-ready platform aligned with our broader corporate AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Platform Strategy
• Define and govern the overarching AI and Automation architecture strategy for enterprise database platforms.
• Design scalable, modular, and reusable automation frameworks supporting large-scale database operations.
• Drive the adoption of Generative AI capabilities to enhance operational efficiency, incident remediation, and engineering productivity. Enterprise AI & Agentic Integration
• Architect production integrations with modern AI ecosystems, including Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, RAG services, and Agentic AI platforms.
• Establish development standards, security controls, observability, evaluation metrics, and guardrails for deployed AI solutions. Database Automation & Lifecycle Engineering
• Lead the technical evolution of infrastructure-as-code and configuration management pipelines across large database estates.
• Oversee automated database lifecycle processes including provisioning, patching, backup/restore, failover, and compliance reporting. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration




• Partner closely with Database Engineering, Cloud, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and AI teams to deliver unified technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and foster best practices in modern software and automation engineering. Mandatory Experience & Technical Skills
• Architecture

Experience:
8+ years in IT, with at least 3 years in a Solution, Automation, or Platform Architect role.
• Database Platform Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on DBA, Database Engineering, or DBRE experience across Oracle or IBM DB2, alongside PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server in large-scale environments (hundreds to thousands of instances).
• Database Lifecycle Automation: Demonstrated experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation for database provisioning, patching, upgrades, backup/restore, health checks, and failover.
• Infrastructure as Code & Configuration:
• Ansible: Hands-on experience writing roles, playbooks, inventory management, secrets, and testing strategies.
• Terraform: Proven experience creating reusable modules, state management, and multi-environment deployments.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Strong command of GitHub Actions (or Azure DevOps) utilizing reusable workflows, environments, approvals, secrets, and self-hosted runners.
• Scripting: Advanced proficiency in Python and PowerShell for automation and custom tooling.
• Production GenAI

Experience:
Hands-on delivery of at least one production Generative AI solution (LLM application, RAG architecture, or AI Agent) including prompt engineering, grounding, evaluation, and safety guardrails.
• Microsoft AI & Cloud Stack: Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, or Copilot Studio, integrated across Azure and AWS via REST APIs and event-driven microservices.
