Role Description The English Teacher at Tutores Mérida is a part-time, on-site role based in Mérida, YUC. The person in this role will plan and deliver English lessons that align with students’ skill levels and academic goals, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, conducting interactive classes, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of progress.

Teacher will collaborate with other educators and coordinators to adjust teaching strategies as needed and participate in occasional meetings or training sessions to support overall program quality. The role requires a consistent presence on-site to maintain class schedules and ensure a reliable learning experience for students.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with demonstrated ability to guide students at different proficency levels.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, both for classroom interaction and for engaging with students, families, and colleagues.
- Relevant English qualifications such as Cambridge/Oxford/TOEFL Certification B2 minimum.
- Desirable: Experience teaching English in classroom or tutoring settings, ideally with diverse age groups, is preferred.
- Ability to create an inclusive, respectful learning environment and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles is important.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability with schedules, and basic proficiency with educational or productivity tools are advantageous.
