Role Description The Mobile App Development Volunteer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications that support parents and caregivers. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features, fixing bugs, optimizing performance, and collaborating with other volunteers on user experience and accessibility improvements. The volunteer will participate in planning sessions, provide input on technical solutions,



and help document code and processes to support open-source collaboration.

This is a full-time, on-site volunteer role based in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, MEX, and is unpaid, focused on social impact and community benefit.

Qualifications

- Strong Software Development and Programming skills, preferably with experience in mobile app frameworks (e.g., Android, iOS, cross-platform tools).
- Solid Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, optimize app performance, and translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage respectfully with community partners.
- Basic understanding of Sales or outreach concepts to support app adoption, user engagement, and promotion within target communities.
- Familiarity with open-source development practices and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Interest in social impact, community-focused technology, and inclusive design for diverse users.
- Ability to work full-time on site in Ciudad Nezahualcóyotl, MEX, and manage responsibilities in a volunteer, unpaid capacity.
- Relevant studies or experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields are beneficial.
