Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant & Production Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations in León, Guanajuato.

The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in Zamak die casting, preferably using hot-chamber technology, and solid knowledge of electroplating and metal finishing processes .

This position requires a hands-on leader with proven experience managing manufacturing facilities, improving operational efficiency, controlling production costs, and ensuring consistent product quality.

The Plant & Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, leading production teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Plant Operations

- Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.
- Manage and optimize Zamak hot-chamber die casting operations.
- Supervise electroplating, surface treatment, and metal finishing processes.
- Develop and implement production plans to maximize productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
- Monitor production KPIs, including efficiency,



scrap rates, downtime, and production costs.
- Ensure proper coordination between production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and logistics departments.

Technical & Process Management

- Optimize die casting parameters, tooling performance, and manufacturing processes.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to casting defects, molds, surface finishing, and product quality.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment.
- Implement process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and operational costs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on mold development, tooling improvements, and new product industrialization.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

- Ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer specifications.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and operational best practices.
- Establish corrective and preventive actions to minimize manufacturing defects.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and applicable environmental regulations, particularly in electroplating and chemical handling operations.

Leadership & Management

- Lead, develop, and supervise production teams, shift supervisors, and technical personnel.
- Establish performance objectives and monitor team productivity.
- Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Manage production resources, labor allocation, and operational budgets.

Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,



Metallurgical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

Professional Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations , preferably in a plant management or senior production management position.
- Previous experience in the Zamak or zinc die casting industry is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of hot-chamber die casting processes.
- Experience with electroplating, surface treatments, and metal finishing operations.
- Proven experience managing production teams and manufacturing equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, and optimize production processes.
- Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, operational discipline, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Direct experience in Zamak die casting manufacturing is essential. Candidates with additional experience in electroplating and decorative metal finishing will be strongly preferred.
